Marcela in Transit

Just got to Barcelona yesterday. Quite a ride. Two layovers. Got to eat lunch with Cindy in Boston, discussing our future over BK hamburgers and fries. Barely made the connection because of long security line and stopping for salad--they had to call my name over intercom because the gate was closing in 5 minutes. No sleep on plane but talked a little to girl from Ireland. Met up with some of group at airport finally and chatted for a while then cabbed it here. Flor and Eduardo very friendly. Preliminary shopping and being lazy trying to get over jetlag. Don´t recognize this part of the city--last time I was just in touristic portion. Also didn't realize it was quite as diverse--at supermarket saw a few Indian families in their traditional clothing and bargain store run by Chinese. At London airport also saw a lot of people on flight that let out at same time from Africa, including woman in tribal robes with shaved head and huge beaded earrings.
